The Twin Cities Eagle Squadron will host an Open House Fun Fly at "The Field" in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Saturday May 4th, 2013.  

 

·        In the event of rain, Sunday May 5th, 2013 will be set as the make-up day for the event 

·        There will be no landing fee and lunch and drinks will be provided with only donations requested

·        The Open House will be from 9AM to 4PM with open flying there after

·        ·  A free 2013 TCES membership will be given away as a door prize to a randomly selected non-member visitor at 3PM

·        ·  An event flyer and event publicity to the other clubs will be handled by Ed Paasch

·        ·  General RC flying information and AMA information will be rounded up to give away by Ed Paasch

·        Demo Flights

·        Free training flights new people interested in the hobby.

      I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters.
