OMAHAWK’S   R/C   FLYING

WINTER FESTIVAL

 SATURDAY FEBRUARY 18 th

12:00 NOON

AT HAWK FIELD 139TH & FORT

Winter Festival is set for Saturday February 18th at 12:00 noon right in the middle of Hawk Field. We will crown our Queen Courtney Grell, in her summer attire to welcome spring, and then the R/C Aircraft will take to the air to earn their money and place in history. Our Queen is 25 year old Courtney Grell. Courtney is becoming a Nurse and works in the Lake Side Doctors Building.

All you have to do is give $10.00 of good faith money at the January Meeting, to make sure you show up on Saturday the 18th of February, and after the Queen is crowned all you have to do is rise off whatever is there (ground, snow, water, ice, etc.), do a 360 degree turn in the air (horizontal, vertical or combination).  That is it, landing is always optional. Then you not only get your money back but the club puts up money just to see you fly. Now if other entrants decide not to fly, then you share their money too. Isn’t that great! There is just one thing to remember, we fly no matter what the weather.  Your money will be awarded at Dinner at The Venice Inn by the Queen Courtney Grell. 6:00 drinks @ the open bar, 7:00 dinner, a Movie of your flight will be shown.

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
