Electric Fly-in

Good afternoon gentleman, I am inviting every member of each of your clubs to The Clarinda R/C Skyhawks Fun Fly Saturday August 6th. Originally this was scheduled for 2 weeks later but had conflicts. We planned this around open dates that Pete Rosas from Council Bluffs and The FBI (Fly Boys of Iowa) and others of your clubs had available as we want to inaugurate our new field with an outstanding event.

We have several items on tap including:

  • Aerial Demonstrations with Pete et.el

  • Combat with electric/foamies

  • Spot Landing Contest

  • Limbo Contest

  • Balloon Breaking Contest

  • Squall Jet exhibitions

  • Warbird Demos

  • Bean bag drop contest

  • Other surprises

Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chips, Munchies, pop/water/tea will be free of charge with a free will donation to help offset the cost of food and help us get over the hump financially with our new field

Hours are 10 AM till dark Saturday August 6th

Go to Clarinda Airport on south side of town and take 1st road south that says Dead End and has our sings posted on the side. This will be an AMA event so bring your AMA cards.

We look forward to having you enjoy the day at our new field. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail to    Steve Mowery  712-542-7311  cell  stevemedicap@gmail.com

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
