Atlantic Air Show

The annual Fly Iowa Air show is being held at Atlantic Iowa on Sept 15 at the Atlantic Airport.  The event is used to promote aviation in the area.  I do not know how many aircraft will be at the event, but I do know they are expecting 4 P51's to be there.  The Fly Iowa web site does not have much information.  Brunch is from 8-10:30   air show  11:00-12;30      event ends at 4:30

The organizers have asked the Atlantic Hawks to have a static display of our model aircraft.   I would like to invite everyone to bring their prized airplane,  you know  the one you don't  fly because you might get a little hanger rash on it while transporting it.  It is a good opportunity to show off your airplane and you will have a chance to talk RC all day long.  We would really like to have a great display of scale planes and helicopters,  although,  anything that flys is welcome.

We can setup Friday night from  2:30 to 5:30  or Saturday they want us setup by 8,  and stay till 4:30,  that is for us who are setting up the display,  if you want to bring a plane to display,  please bring it whenever you can and you are welcome to leave when you want,  although we would appreciate it if you could stay for the whole event.   I am fairly sure we will be setup in a hanger.

Please forward to your club members,  my contact email is     tvtechn@gmail.com     my cell phone is  712 249 3038   Please let me know if you plan to bring a plane so I can have an idea how much space we need.

       Thank you

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
